Forced Air Furnaces
Most homes in Calgary have a natural gas forced air furnace that warms the air before distributing the warm air through the ductwork to rooms and areas in the home. New forced air furnaces are quiet and energy efficient featuring electronic ignition, eliminating the need for the pilot light which needs a continual supply of gas to stay lit. For greater energy efficiency it’s recommended that existing furnaces older than 15 years or require ventilation through the chimney be upgraded to the latest technology that new furnace replacements can provide.
Although residential boilers aren’t as common as forced air heating, they do have a number of advantages. They feature versatility in that they can be used for heat radiators, air handlers, radiant in-floor heating and hot water tanks. Boilers are also very effective for supplying balanced heat, by equalizing the pressure within the system, which allows for better energy efficiency and minimal operating cost. We are an authorized company for servicing domestic boilers and feature technologically advanced high efficient boilers for installation.
Some older homes, including heritage homes in Calgary, have radiator heating which transfers thermal energy from a hot water system, typically identified with the iconic cast iron radiators. Many people with radiator heaters will talk about how they enjoy the uniform heat, evenly distributed and how it doesn’t rob humidity from the home like a forced air furnace can. Common problems can include unwanted air in the system and leaking radiator or bleeder valves. You can trust Stat Climate Control Solutions to service and install radiator heaters or to retrofit your system with separate zone controls to better control heat in wanted areas of your home.
The first, and most important step in deciding to replacing or installing a heating system is choosing qualified, licensed professionals. Installation of HVAC systems is not a simple process or exactly the same for every home and one miscalculation in the procedure will lead to constant servicing and repair, higher electrical bills and shorten the lifespan of the unit. Because of the years of experience we have with heating installation we can install it correctly, the first time, and ensure it runs at peak energy efficiency for optimal performance giving you years of satisfaction with your indoor cooling.
The number one cause of failure for a new HVAC heating system is improper installation and not manufacturer's defect.
